Some paintings are worked into, some I leave quite raw and spontaneous. It depends on my subject matter and on my mood at the time. I like to try and capture the beauty and vibrancy of nature and of people, letting my brush and colours flow from figure to figure to land, sea and sky. I believe that at a deep level we are all inseparably connected with each other and with the environment around us. At times we may lose sight of this but it is an eternal and unshakeable fact.
